Barnsley Auto Centre is the latest in a Yorkshire-based chain of 8 garages opened by Gordon Wood, who has been in the vehicle service industry for over 30 years.
Gordon decided to open a new garage in his home town of Barnsley after selling to a national chain five of his existing garages, including Gordon's Tyres in Wakefield and Leeds, together with Gordon's Auto Centre in Stocksbridge, Castleford and Stanley. The first of Gordon's new depots in Barnsley was Yorkshire Industrial Tyres (see below), followed by Barnsley Auto Centre which offers general servicing and repairs for cars and light vans, as well as tyres, exhausts and MOT testing.
Gordon's staff have high standards of skill and expertise, some of them having worked with Gordon Wood for many years. Gordon's 30-years' experience in the garage industry enables him and his staff to provide expert work at affordable prices, and with the high level of personal service expected of a locally-owned garage.
